Project Acronym: MOSAIC
Status: Active
Start / End Dates: 1 November 2024 – 30 April 2026
The EU MOSAIC project is an ambitious, EU-funded initiative (Grant Agreement No. LC–03303874) designed to transform the European media landscape through AI-driven technologies. Led by Fincons Group, this 18-month project aims to develop a centralized, multilingual, and multimodal AI-based hub that enhances the creation, distribution, and accessibility of media content across Europe.
MOSAIC, which stands for ‘Multilingual Multimodal Centralised AI-based Hub for the European Media Content Market’ seeks to deliver a prototype AI-powered platform acting as a central hub for the European media ecosystem. By integrating advanced multilingual and multimodal AI capabilities, the platform enables the seamless adaptation and repurposing of media content across linguistic and cultural boundaries, supporting broadcasters, media producers, and independent creators in reaching wider and more diverse audiences.
By integrating advanced multilingual and multimodal AI capabilities, the platform enables the seamless adaptation and repurposing of media content across linguistic and cultural boundaries. In doing so, MOSAIC supports broadcasters, media producers, and independent creators, helping them deliver a broader and more diverse range of high-quality content to audiences across Europe.
CARSA’s Role in MOSAIC
CARSA has contributed as a transversal business and exploitation manager, not only evaluating the business and value propositions emerging from the MOSAIC platform but also supporting project partners in developing strategies to maximize the impact of the main project outcomes.
In addition, CARSA has helped integrate MOSAIC within the European Media Data Space (TEMS) initiative, applying its expertise to support governance structures and contribute to the development of a sustainable business model.
As the project nears its conclusion, these contributions demonstrate the practical potential of MOSAIC to improve content accessibility and strengthen the European media landscape.
