Mosaic: Building Europe’s Unified TV and Video Streaming Platform

We are excited to announce CARSA involvement in the Mosaic project, an ambitious R&D initiative focused on developing the first unified European streaming platform for multilingual TV and video content.
The project
The overall mission of the MOSAIC project (‘Multilingual Multimodal Centralised AI-based Hub for the European Media Content Market’) is to develop a prototypical European AI-powered platform, which will act as a hub to support the media landscape
Through the integration of an advanced multilingual and multimodal AI-based system, the platform aims to empower broadcasters, media producers, and independent creators, offering them a seamless repurposing of media content across linguistic and cultural barriers.
The platform, therefore, aims to become a useful tool for media professionals to provide citizens with a wider range of qualitative information content.
CARSA’s Role in MOSAIC
One of CARSA’s responsibilities will be to act as a transversal exploitation manager to evaluate the business and value proposition of what will be developed within the MOSAIC project.
In addition, CARSA is committed to involving the MOSAIC project in the European Media Data Space (TEMS) initiative, where the Basque company has a key role in defining and setting up a governance and a self-sustaining business model.
