Policy and Regulation Initiative for Digital Africa

CARSA (in cooperation with GFA and Research ICT Africa) is co-implementing the service contract “Policy and Regulation Initiative for Digital Africa” (PRIDA) – which aims to create a more harmonised and enabling legal and regulatory framework for the use of ICT for social and economic development.
This 3-year assignment focuses on the:
- Development of a continental legal and regulatory monitoring and evaluation system to foster cooperation between telecommunications regulatory authorities;
- Enhancement of the awareness of public authorities and civil society regarding cross cutting use of ICT;
- Improvement of the capacity of African stakeholders for active participation in the global internet governance – strengthening the African Internet Governance Forum and exploring the establishment of a “Digital policy clinics”.
